In 1855, six Laidlaw children, Elizabeth, Janet Thomas, Robert, Walter and Margaret arrived in Melbourne on the Fulwood, and then embarked on the new steamer, the Havilah, to Adelaide.
They came as unassisted passengers so it would seem that Thomas Laidlaw Snr. was a man of means at that time and paid their fares. |
