Gavin Gemmell Rankine and his two brothers leased Glenbarr to Jas Clezy before the three moved to Western Australia - this might have been around the time of WW1, or before.

Woodburn Homestead - Matthew Rankine's farm
Woodburn farmhouse between Strathalbyn and Milang was built in 1862 by Matthew Rankine son of William Rankine. (Diary held in Library on Microfilm). Matthew retired to "Braemar" near Strathalbyn in 1892, son Melville lived in Woodburn until his death in 1920. The house was restored in ca. 1990.
