DENDEKKER PASSENDER IN ; Fatal Accident on Lincoln Highway Blackwood residents were shocked to hear of the death of Eddy den Dekker last Tuesday morning, 12th October, as a result of an accident. The car in which he was a passenger overturned on the Lincoln Highway, 25 miles south of Whyalla. Eddy came from Holland fourteen years ago and had lived most of that time in Belair and Blackwood, working for Mr. Dean Light, until recently. Those who knew Eddy know that he was a tremendous worker,w whatever job came his way was tackled with insight and energy. His latest venture was building an extensive pigeon loft from which he has been racing his pigeons. He was a member of the South Suburban Pigeon Club and his widow, Lorraine, is most grateful to those fellow members who have rallied around to help with the pigeons. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to Lorraine, their two children, Sharon and Dion; father, Mr. A. den Dekker of Belair and all the rest of his family and friends.
