Double Storey building (earliest known)-Barn and stable with loft at Auchananda's, Strathalbyn - recent photo

Donald McLean's homestead was next to this barn on the banks of the Angas River. Farm buildings were built in the 1840s but became disused. It was later restored and is now a private residence - behind 19 Langhhorne Creek Road. It cannot be seen from this road but it can be glimpsed from across the river (standing in the reserve opposite 22 Fairfield Drive, looking east through the trees). For more details, see E53 on HOMEPAGE; SMALL PRINT.
