 | Private MATTHEWS Reubin George WWI enlisted 5 Aug 1915 in Melbourne Victoria. Service nUmber 4249 RFTS. Pre war occupation was a State School Teacher. Disabled on discharge from 3 GSW (gunshot wounds) in legs, walking in a caliper with some shortness. Served in Egypt (Mar1916), France, Marseilles (Apr1916), England (Feb1916) on the field and during recuperation in military hospitals and Field Ambulance Unit (Jan1917) . Discharged after the war in 18 Jan 1919 on Ulysses to Australia. Medals image attached. |
