Biography Notes |
* Apsley just had a hotel, small post office, a one-teacher school and shop opposite the hotel. This shop was Tilly?s drapery shop.
* The shop was divided by a curtain with men?s clothing on one side and general needlework on the other.
* They lived in back of their shop.
* The teachers would often board with Tilly.
* They also had a small farm not far out of town and Fred went out by horse and cart each day.

* Tilly was a good organiser and took the lead in some family matters.
* Judy Gordon remembers Tilly as a gracious, caring lady.
* Tilly, Ada, Joe and Fred visited Dora Gordon (McLean) in Western Australia about 1952.
* In 1965, Tilly had an illness which paralized one side of her face.
