    Died in a private hospital at Bundaberg last Thursday, at the age of 65. He left Brisbane about three weeks ago for the North, and on the way back from Mackay became ill at Rock-
    liampton. On reaching Bundaberg a week ago he entered hospital.

    Death at Bundaberg
    After a brief illness which overtook
    him when on a visit to the North, Mr.
    Janies Argyle Douglass, of the firm of
    Palmer and Douglass Ltd., leather and
    fibre manufacturers, who resided at Hill
    End, died in a private hospital at Bunda-
    berff vesterdav. Mr. Douglass, while re-
    turning from Mackay, became ill . at
    Rockhampton, but was able to continue
    his journey to Bundaberg where, how
    ever, he was obliged to leave the train,
    Mrs. Douglass hastening to Bundaberg
    by aeroplane. The body was brought to
    Brisbane by train and the. funeral takes
    place this afternoon. The late Mr.
    Douglass, who was 65 years of age, was
    a past president of the East Brisbane
    Bowling Club, of which he was an active
    member. He was also a prominent
    member of the Commercial Travellers'
    Association, and a keen follower of
    cricket and Rugby League football. He
