Wedding.
Jellett-Mitchell.
Apsley, August 13 1940
The Presbyterian Church, which
had been prettily decorated by friends
was the setting on Saturday last of
the wedding of Muriel Alison, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Mitchell,
The Oaks, Apsley, to Bramwell Clive,
son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Jellett,
Hynam, which was celebrated by the
Rev. D. W. Albert, M.A., B.D.
Entering the church to the strains
of the Wedding March, rendered by
Mr. A, Bradley, the bride, who was
given away by her father, was a
charming figure in her gown of chan
tilly lace over white satin, made with
a Peter Pan collar and satin loops
extending from neck to hem. The
back was trimmed with small satin
buttons from neck to waist. Her
tulle veil was held in place with a
cluster of orange blossom. A bouquet
of sweet peas, carnations, camelias.
The only attendant was Miss- Gwen
Miles, of Hynam, who was frocked
in rose pink georgette, with shirred
bodice, and short puffed sleeves. She
wore a short pink tulle veil, and car
ried a bouquet of pink carnations and
sweet peas. Mr. D. Ballinger acted
as best man.
During the signing of the register
Mrs. Castine rendered the solo
"Sweetest Story Ever Told."
A reception was held at the Apsley
Hall, where 60 guests were entertain
ed. The 'bride's parents, assisted by
the parents of the bridegroom, recei
ved the guests. Mrs. Mitchell wore
a navy blue georgette and lace frock,
with pink shoulder spray and hat to
match. Mrs. Jellett chose a frock of
navy wool georgette, with matching
hat and pink shoulder spray. A dance
followed the reception, Mr. A. Brad
ley supplying the music. Mr. and Mrs.
Jellett left by car on their honeymoon,
the bride travelling in a grey tailored
costume, with black accessories. On
their return they will make their home
at Hynam. |

Hilda?s sister , Muriel Alison Mitchell ?born c.1913 ( not sure where ) married Frederick Osborne but don?t know hen or where. Frederick died in 1972 and Muriel Osborne died 11-02-2004 in East Melbourne. There were death notices published in The Herald Sun newspaper on 12th and 14th February 2004 . I will send a request to the State Library of Victoria and ask them if they could supply copies of these death and funeral notices but this may take some time.
Muriel Alison Osborne Will and Probate records can be found on the PROV website . If you purchased copies of these documents , I am not sure if they would reveal her occupation and Hospitals where she would have worked at during her career ?leave this up to you to consider.
