    Biography Notes A Freemason, being initiated into the Paddington Ionic Lodge on 11 Nov 1886. Held several positons over the years, including Worshipful Master. In appreciation of his services he was made a life member in 1911. In 1912 he initiated his sons James, William, and Herbert at the July meeting. Albert did not join. He was so highly esteemed that the lodge made a memorial tablet in his honour and placed it in the Lodge Room almost one year after he died.
