Henry arrived on ALIQUIS 1856, his parents two years earlier-John and Agnes INGLIS, with their three youngest children (Jane, Gilbert & James) disembarked at the new Port Adelaide from the ship 'William Hammond' on 19th January 1854. John INGLIS paid 2 pounds and 5 shillings for his passage. It is believed that another child, John Wilson, also was a traveller on the same ship but travelled on to disappear for all time in Fiji.
Their oldest living child, Henry INGLIS, arrived two years later (1856) aboard the 'Aliquis' which was a much larger vessel. |
