  Note	* Jane and Frank must have met when he came to work for Allan (Jane's father) at Meadowbank. * It is said that Allan was initially not keen on Jane marrying because he thought that Frank was a drifter and would never make a home for her, but the parents must have given in. * Frank worked as a handyman on various properties and Jane as a housemaid. * They lived in Kanaka Station, about 16 miles south of Hawker in the Flinders Ranges. * They later moved to Wilson near Hawker and finally to Tarcowie * Jane had a store and post office in Tarcowie and Frank went to Broken Hill to work on the mines * At some stage there was a falling out between Jane and her family.   [4]
  Note	Initially they were around Mt Barker (there, two children were born but died early) and then went to Kanaka Station. At some stage there was a falling out between Jane and her family (BRB p57) but Jeannie retained her links with Strathalbyn as she returned there for the birth of James at Meadowbank in 1872.
