DEATH: on 14/1/1848 of Robert Leslie in a severe flash flood at Strathalbyn SA He was the first man to be buried in Strathalbyn Pioneer Cemetery relocated in 1959-likely to have been buried at the original cemetery alongside the St. Andrew's Church where a roadway was needed/built. No recorded remains of the early pioneer burials either there or at the old pioneeer cemetery above the present town swimming pool (a plaque marks the area). |

- BURIAL believed to be in the original cemetery. Maybe alongside St Andrew's Presbytarian Church (2016: a roadway). All those buried in "Pioneer Cemetery" were interred to the current Strathalbyn Cemetery in 1959. This to make a new road adjacent to church.
