Keith Gollan McRae b.16/11/1899 at Strathalbyn SA.He served overseas with the First A.l.F. but also appears in a 1916 group photo on page 146 of Nancy Gemmell's book standing on the stepping stones of the River Angas opposite the Post Office is on the St. Andrew's Honour Roll for WWI. ln 1912 he was a scholar at the newly opened Strathalbyn High School so must have enlisted at an early age. Later found to enlist at 18.5yoa and discharged? initially as medically unfit, yet seems to have actually serviced overseas....need investigate his war records on naa or wwi nominal roll |
