Biography Notes DEATH OF MR F. T. INGLIS. Pine Forest. Dec. 3,
The sudden death of Mr Francis Turnbull Inglis, one of the members of the firm of Messrs lnglis Bros., of Pine Forest, farmers and graziers, has cast quite a gloom over this district.
Mr lnglis has been somewhat indisposed for the past four or five years, probably resulting from the-effects of a slight sunstroke or an apoplexy seizure, since when he had been under Dr. Powell's observations and attention. Just on the eve of starting their harvesting machinery in one of the best crops they have ever had at the Forest, Mr Frank appeared to be in excellent spirits and good health and was early about starting the harvesters and strippers. In company with his younger brother (Mr Lionel Inglis) about 11a.m. on Wednesday they were repairing a wagon. Frank was screwing the bolts up underneath when he remarked to his brother that be believed he was getting rheumatics in his left hand and arm. He then walked away into the shade of the trees for a few yards, fell down and expired without uttering another word.
Mr F. lnglis was born at Woodside in 1865. He had been engaged in farming pursuits all his life, the greater portion of which had been spent on the Peninsula. He had been a member of the Pine Forest Bureau for many years. He was greatly respected by all who knew him, and was always one of the first to offer assistance where help was needed.
He leaves a widow and seven little children, two sisters, Mrs A. Guthlehen and Mrs Clothier. and five brothers - Messrs 3. M.(of Kadina), James, Albert, Ernest, and Lionel.
The funeral of the deceased took place on Thursday at Kadina. The Rev. T. D. Webb read the burial service.
